My style of newborn photography is very laid back, natural and baby centered. I like to combine natural posing with some prop setups to get a nice variety. To me, there is nothing sweeter than baby in a cozy knit romper. I like to get detail shots of their sweet hands, lips, and feet. What I love about my style is that not every session is the same. Since the sessions are baby centered, I go with the flow and let baby take the lead. Sometimes newborns arrive wide eyed and ready to party, that is OK! I honestly love it when newborns wake up during their session and show me their sweet personalities! I love capturing your sweet newborns sleepy stretches and their funny little faces they make!
My clients get access to my newborn client closet. I have lots of different rompers, onesies, sweaters that are available for use during a session. These items have been purchased due to the style, color and texture. I love using lots of different textures in my newborn sessions: blankets, wraps, props, bonnets, headbands.
If you booked a newborn + family session, I always start out with the family portion first. I will direct you on how to hold baby, stand, and what not, I love capturing the connection between your new baby and your family. I want to make the family portion as stress free as possible. Do not worry if your older child is not cooperating, like I said before, I roll with it! I will not force your toddler into a pose with baby, I am always able to change up the setup/pose, so they feel comfortable. I always say embrace the chaos. Come as you are, I want to capture your family's connections.
I get asked a lot about "what should we wear". Honestly, anything that YOU are comfortable in! My studio is a blank canvas for your family to shine! You could dress it up, dress it down or somewhere in between. The most important thing is that you are comfortable.
